Macintosh用エミュレータの情報サイトとして有名な、John Stiles氏主宰の「emulation.net」がここの所ずっと不通になっています。
この件について調べてみたのですが、John Stiles氏が同じくMac用エミュレータ情報サイトを主宰する友人に宛てたメールによると、残念なことに「emulation.net」は閉鎖になってしまったようです。
以下はそのメールの引用です。
"Unfortunately, the site was attacked with a denial-of-service. The web site host doesn’t want to bring the site back up any more (understandably) and finding a new free host and rebuilding the site would take a whole lot of energy. I don’t have the time or motivation to do the rebuild. Unfortunately, that’s basically the end of emulation.net :("
（意訳）：サイトはDoS攻撃でダウンしてしまったし、代わりの新しい無料ホストを探して、サイトを作り直すにはすごいエネルギーが必要だ。私にはサイトを作り直す時間も、モチベーションもない。残念だが、それはつまり「emulation.net」を終了するということだ。
Mac用エミュレータに関して、一番の情報元でしたので、このまま閉鎖になってしまうのは非常に残念です。ですが、氏の意向を尊重し、これまでの尽力に感謝したいと思います。
